About the project

About Baltimore Lifeline

Baltimore Lifeline Project is a student-led resource navigation platform co-founded by Sonya Zhang and Brandon Chang.

We built the platform to help residents find health, food, legal, and other support services with less friction and more clarity.

Our official site is https://www.baltimorelifeline.site/. We are not affiliated with Lifeline Sites or baltimorelifeline.com.

Guided Triage

Answer a short set of questions and we suggest resources that match your needs, risks, and barriers.

Targeted Recommendations

We use your responses to prioritize services that fit your situation so you can focus on next steps.

Community-Driven & Mobile-Ready

Built to work on phones and improved with feedback from local residents and volunteers.

How we verify sources

We want people to understand how resources are added and reviewed. Our listings are built through a combination of manual research, AI-assisted search support, and direct human verification before information is kept in our working dataset.

1

Manual Source Discovery

We begin by manually scouring public information sources to identify organizations, services, and programs that may be relevant to Baltimore residents.

2

Structured Review Search

We use Seraphina Cyber Scraper to guide a broad, structured web search for reviews, public feedback, and other signals that help us understand how a service is described and experienced.

3

Human Verification & Model Feedback

Every entry is then manually checked by our team. We feed verified findings back into the base model to improve how future sources are evaluated and to strengthen the overall accuracy of our recommendations.

Reliability note

Important: our reliability descriptions are based on what we found across calls, forums, online reviews, public listings, and similar sources at the time of review, with AI used to help review and verify source patterns. Services can change, staff can change, and experiences can vary. If you find information that differs from what is shown here, treat our summary as the predominant pattern we found rather than a guarantee of current conditions.

Collaboration

Baltimore Lifeline also works in collaboration with Path to Success, a platform designed to help people identify their goals and build a practical roadmap forward.
